About Us

We like to think of ourselves as more than just your numbers people – in fact, we’re putting people back into the numbers.

Ready to start on your accounting journey with Vested? Get in touch.

At Vested, we believe the most fruitful relationships come from being fully invested – in you, your business, and your success.

Before we jump into a business relationship, we build a personal one. We’ll meet with you to get to know each other, find out what’s not currently working for you or why you’re looking to change accountants, and see if the fit is right.

You and your business don’t just need your compliance done once a year and a surprise bill at the end of it. You don’t just need someone to keep track of your books and try to fix whatever’s gone wrong at the end of the year – you’re more proactive than that. You need a trusted advisor who can help you make better decisions, act as a sounding board, and ensure that all your strategic business moves make sense financially.

From training in the ‘big four’ accounting firms to in-house experience to setting up our own successful businesses, we have the technical knowledge and the business thinking that enables us to not just do your numbers, but also to give great advice. It’s our ability to get to know you and to provide an awesome customer experience that really set us apart.

Emma

Our founder Emma isn’t exactly what you think of when you think of an accountant – she’s much happier out talking to clients than she is sitting hidden away working on spreadsheets.

Although she’s a numbers whiz, she’s even better at looking at the big picture for a business – identifying where the big opportunities are and how her clients can achieve their goals. That comes from a combo of extensive accounting experience – in both a ‘big four’ accounting firm and in-house roles – and experience sitting on the other side of the fence, as a business owner.

Having set up several successful businesses with her husband, she understands the tricky challenges that business owners are up against – and how business owners can use their numbers to make better decisions.

When she’s not at work, you’ll normally find Emma discovering new places to eat or exploring the outdoors (she’s even got her scuba diving instructor’s licence). More often that not though, she’ll be in mum duty – wrangling her two kids and her two dogs, and loving every minute of it.
